Lhasa Apsos are calm, loyal, and lovable. They enjoy company, but are wary of strangers. They make a wonderful addition to any family.

| Color: | All colors equally acceptable with or without dark tips to ears and beard. |
| Coat: | Heavy, straight, hard, not woolly nor silky, of good length, and very dense. |
| Grooming: | Daily brushing to keep the long coat free of mats and tangles. Pets are typically given a shorter, more manageable puppy clip. |
| Height: | Males, 10 or 11 inches at shoulder for dogs; females, slightly smaller. |
| Weight: | 13 to 15 lbs |
